Mervin Wong is a composer, new media & sound artist, and
multimedia designer. Working across the languages of light, sound, materials,
and space to tell an immersive story, his studio THEEMPTYBLUESKY PRODUCTIONS is
a new kind of agency. It specializes in the end-to-end production and design of
new and remarkable experiences.
Mervin also possesses the identity of electronic producer PLANESWALKER, who is a convoy into an infinitude of worlds, creating energetic tapestries of sound that dissolve the borders between reality and fantasy. PLANESWALKER’s recent output includes an immersive full-length show as part of Singapore Festival of Arts (SIFA) v2.020’s Sound Social Series, as well as Grains, a sound installation as part of Shifting Between for Singapore Art Week 2021.
Mervin is currently an Artist Fellow with the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.
